We have the best Facebook audience in the world! You might think we’re just biased, and we are, but ours is a fabulous audience. Here’s how we know:
On Oct. 18 we posted this picture of Dr. Jones on Facebook to raise awareness about breast cancer.
We started by saying that if the post reached 100 likes, Dr. Jones would wear a pink tutu for an entire day and donate $100 to the Virginia Blue Ridge affiliate of the Susan G. Komen foundation.
To say we were blown away by the response would be an understatement. We reached 100 likes in only 30 minutes!
Two hours later we had more than 300 likes. After two days, we hit 1000 likes! We were so impressed that we increased the donation to $300, and Dr. Jones agreed to wear pink leggings and spray paint his hair pink in addition to wearing the pink tutu!
It was truly humbling to see the community come together to support an amazing cause with a fun incentive. Dr. Jones fulfilled his promise and rocked his pink attire in the office and out to lunch Oct. 27.
