Summer is almost here! Keep your smile shining with these orthodontic tips!

Summer is right around the corner, and we hope you have lots of fun things planned. Our patients are involved in all sorts of fun activities during the summer, from family vacations and camps to jobs and even school. Are you or your child hoping to begin treatment before school starts back this fall? Now is the time to contact us! Call us or fill out our appointment request form to schedule your appointment so there’s plenty of time to get you in the office. For more information about starting treatment, be sure to visit the New Patients section of our website. We work with all insurances and are happy to file for you. Remember, we have a family care program, including a fee reduction for additional family members wishing to start orthodontic treatment with us!

While on vacation, please remember to maintain proper care of your teeth and braces. No matter where you are or what you’re doing, it’s important to practice good oral hygiene with consistent brushing and flossing. Also, in order to finish your treatment on time, wearing your rubber bands as directed will be very important!

To make it easier to maintain the good habits that help keep you on track with your treatment plan, put together a kit that includes everything you need to care for your teeth and braces and take it with you on vacation. We recommend you include the following items:

• Toothbrush
• Toothpaste
• Dental floss
• Wax
• Rubber Bands
• Nail file for our Invisalign patients

If you need any of these supplies, we are happy to give them to you at any time during your treatment. For our patients who have completed their treatment, don’t forget to take your retainers with you on vacation so your teeth don’t shift while you’re away.
